September 11, 2012 Meeting Highlights

Secretary read August minutes; Approved. FST Report given on August wages, expenses, meals, receipts from Grand Lodge dues, interest, CD balance, checking account balance; Approved.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None

NEW BUSINESS:

Representative being sent to community service meeting in Maryland in mid-December 2012 to take notes and report back on what was learned at January 2013 meeting. Motion passed for union to cover travel and wages for the week.

Vice President stated posting personal information such as death in family, or extended FMLA would need to be approved by affected member before posting because website is public information.

Question brought up on feasability of web site; suggestion made to give it a year before making a decision on whether or not to keep it.

Door prize drawing implemented based on compilation of active members. Motion passed to allow $200 expense each month to give away 8 door prizes (6 at Topeka meeting and 2 will be drawn and mailed to winners outside location.)

President gave closing prayer and closed meeting.
